My Old Language School

This is my old language school: English Centre (  New Alipur, Kolkata) where I teach since 2009. This school gives me chance to teach both of my favorite languages: Spanish & French; and there I got and am getting extremely motivated students from various professional sectors like Animal Husbandry, Accounts, Literature, Commerce, KPO, Corporate French Process, Engineering, Chef, Shipping, Hospitality and above all truly dedicated to language students. It's a great experience to make different type of learning methods for these students. This school provides language translation and even interpretation through which I'm enhancing my experience.

As French Interpreter with French Traders

April 2011 was a memorable experience for me while I worked with two French business personalities Monsieur Jacques COSTES and Monsieur Bernard VARCIN ( he is also the veteran world cycle champion) on 18th and 19th April. These two were keen to be enhanced with the Indian culture and customs. They concentrated more on tasting our foods, our remote & famous places than to talk about the business. Obviously, they were happy with the quality of Indian products what they told every time. But, they were really surprised and glad to see the politeness and warmth of Kolkatans. They are expected to come back in the next year's winter. 

On my part, I would like to say that I learnt a lot from them, specially on business. This French warmth is unforgettable.

As a translator of French & Spanish, I have some nice experience in various domains---- legal, technical, literary, automobile, rail, leather products, certificates, official letters, application letters, films and above all cultural aspects. That gives me an extensive scope meet with people from offbeat professions ( like film researchers, web writers) to traditional employees, challenging business personnel to artists( like dancers, painters).Translation actually boosts my energy to go to profundity of  language learning and variety of vocabulary.

As a senior student of Spanish Study Centre and as a member of Indo-Latin American Association, I got several chances to work with Spanish language experts and students of Kolkata since 2008. It's new way that shows me how enhance my knowledge in Spanish and grow more interest between people. As a member of Indo Latin American Association and of Spanish Study Centre, Dum Dum, I participated and worked for the first time in 2009 in America Latina stall in Kolkata International Book fair. That time, the ambassador of Cuba( in India) was our chief guest for launching translated books ( from original Spanish to Bengali). This year also, I worked there though whole two week long book fair.This year, famous professor Jose Paz visited our stall and changed the ambiance with his emphatic personality and songs. The 2nd February was the busiest day for us, as the Peruvian ambassador Mr. Javier P. Velarde launched three translated books on that day and also visited the stall. It's a marvellous experience for me.

While teaching, sometimes, I receive calls from well-known artists who are interested to learn either Spanish or French. For their show, they have to go to abroad often and to overcome the communication problem with the non-English speaking audience, visitors and intellectuals, another foreign language is obligatory for them to learn. Such a way, I met a famous Kathak dancer and a painter whom you find in these pictures.

Though I started my freelancing career as a French translator, then encouraged by my friends and colleagues, I started teaching French & Spanish in two language schools in Kolkata---Yield & English Centre ( New Alipur). Gradually, I teach individually  and even the several groups from various domains like business, medicine, law, accountancy, literature etc. For each and every one, I have make several teaching method as they need their domain-based terms, topics, dialogues. For the children, my teaching method is much more different than that. Here you can find the places where I teach and some of my students.

The year 2010 was an awesome experience for me while I was working in the 11th International Conference of World Chief Justices (11th December-13th December), Lucknow. From 92 countries, 358 participants came to that event. I was thrilled when I was informed to interpret first the peace speech of Dalai Lama on the very first day of the conference. His presence on the stage inspired me so much that with ease I continued to interpret for French speaking African delegates from Madagascar, Gabon, Cameroon, Tchad and above all for the French delegations.

Language Sans Frontier

Language is the only bridge that erases the geographical boundaries. It has deep routed base but no wall barrier, no sky limit. Only  a language expert can facilitate the communication between the people who speak in different languages. That even brings two different cultures very near. In a recent survey in France, it is proved that a child who can at least two languages just because of the different mother tongue of his/her parents, is much more intelligent and has the more sharpness than any other child to handle the communication problem. Even more, in this age of Globalization, the knowledge of any foreign language gives us an extra scope to expand our culture to another country and their  to our country and an individual to show  his/her more potentiality in job market, creative world than other professionals. So, why, are you still sitting far away from the colourful Flamenco music, tasty mate with flavor of painting, poetry & food?
