Asbeco in July 2015

After three months after April, Asbesco again called me in July for their next inspection program. This time a team of Algerian engineers came to do the procedure. One of them could speak in English and he was to head to direct all the test, so I hardly could get moment to translate the requirement except discussing on the industrial growth, current situation and cultural variations with the rest of the Algerian team. What surprised us this time, was that their food habit is quite similar to us and we enjoyed the traditional food of here during the breaks. Another nice experience to have worked with them.

As the scorching summer started, Asbesco again called me for the first time in this year as another inspection to be done for 5 days. The Asbesco team started the well set program and we finished the inspection within 3 days as the sole inspector guided nicely to check process of hardware fitting and accessories. He came little far from the capital Algers and he had profound experience to visit the entire Algeria and its neighboring countries. So, during breaks, he gave a clear picture of socio-political scenario and musical variation of Algeria, even Tunisia. A great time to work and learn about a culture as well.

Interpretation with the Bolivians

It was a surprise when a Bolivian businessman found my contact details from internet and called me for accompanying and interpreting him and his wife during their visit to Kolkata Kesoram Rayon office meeting.

Thus my new year journey of work started this year. They came at the end of January stayed till 4th February to have some important meeting regarding color preference of tissue in Bolivia, the Bolivian tissue market for their traditional dancers, the price quotation, the factory visit to Kuntighat , around 100 km away from Kolkata. They returned with satisfied face as the meetings went effective. Since we discussed a lot about the market of tissue, told told me that they are also from indigenous race of Bolivia who used to live previously beside Titikaka lake on Bolivian part and their mother tongue is Aymara, though we talked only in Spanish. They are one of few modest people I have ever met. 

15th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World

It was consecutive 5th time when I attended the 15th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World in Lucknow CMS in last December, 2014 as usual.

It was like coming back family members when I met again some judges of African and Latin American nations since they are also coming every year to report the progress for the protection of the child right for which we are fighting since long. This year, I had some extra work as our French interpretation team didn't have enough strength. So, I decided to interpret both Spanish and French. Thanks to sufficient numbers of Spanish interpreters, I engage fully myself to TV and newspaper interview interpretation for first 2 days, only to get some variation I took few session interpretation and interactive sessions between CMS participants and the judges. On the third and last day, I had to handle auditorium's simultaneous interpretation, plenary session interpretation too. Though truly hectic, I enjoyed the conference work and mostly because I learned every time the new update of court room interpretation and judicial terms and usage. Unforgettable experience.

Visit to Chola Dynasty

As the Argentine Magazine planned, I left Kolkata in an Autumn night of last November 2014 to visit minutely the places of Chola dynasty in Tamil Nadu.

 I started form Kolkata in the night of Diwali festival and reached at my first destination Tiruchirapalli to visit Rock Fort temple and some other not so famous temples which are scattered all through the city. For next few days, according the Magazine's director's plan, I visited the old Jain temples and other temples in the city of Pudukkottai ( one of the Chola capital in Tamil Nadu), then indescribable beauty of Tagore Bridessara temple, Tajore place's mural paintings and sculptures, Thiruvarur art in Saraswati temple, one of oldest and finest Chola art in Darashuram temple and in 5 major temple in Kumbakonam, Nataraj temple complex in Chidambaram, Nagapattinam, Nagore.

 I finished the trip with Velangani visit, a French sculptured town close to Nagapattinam and the beautiful forest of Point Cali mere where I found more 30 types migratory ducks and pelicans, rear dear which was actually icing on the cake. The only important place of Chola dynasty which I was unable to cover is Gogaikonda Cholapuram. Hope to visit it in one of my next trips.

With Algerian Inspection Team

It was the last week of November, 2014 when another new Algerian Inspection team came to Kolkata to work with Howrah-based electrical equipment company Asbeso. As I'm working since long-back with Asbesco, I know the criteria and the type of inspection to be done within the time limit of Inspection. As usual we started of with the visit of the India second biggest electrical equipment factory and after a formal meeting ( where we use to explain the planing program of inspection),
we started the long proceeding testing work. The Algerian guests were always in a jovial mood to reduce the stress of such kind of work, but after 3 days tiresome work, everything came perfect and we finished the journey with a last visit to Victoria Memorial Hall and Botanical garden. It was a nice experience to accompany them as of till now, we are in contact by mail and share our cultural varieties and thoughts.

My photos in Unesco site

Recently, one of my students told me about the photography contribution of World heritage sites in UNESCO website, which actually helps economically the old heritage sites of a country. As I've a habit to travelling the ancient cities of my country to take photos, to write articles of their history, architecture and culture of that time, I took the opportunity to share my experience with UNESCO.

 So, I asked them that I wish to contribute with my photos on world heritage sites of India. They are truly friendly and passed me all information for the procedure and accordingly, I sent some of my selected photos of Mahabalipuram caves and Kanchipuram temple statues of our Hindu Gods and Goddesses with captions. They honored me by publishing all these photos on 22nd October in the UNESCO site. Dear friends, here I'm sharing the site link so that you can see those worldly treasures.
